With the mighty Mont Blanc in the background, Aosta Valley never disappoints. The perfect destination to celebrate the comeback of Ride with the Locals.
High peaks and a low valley means long descents. With the help of locals and their shuttles we will guide you to some of the best secret trails Europe has to offer.
Thursday – Check-in from 20h and a drink to get to know each other.
Friday – Full day of uplift assisted riding, group dinner.
Saturday – Full day of uplift assisted riding, group dinner.
Sunday – Half day of uplift assisted riding, finishing off with a group lunch. Around 14h check out and time to head back to reality.
TOOLS FOR THE JOB
The best weapon of choice is a 140 – 160mm enduro bike, with dropper post and some sturdy double ply tires. There will be some climbing involved, but our main friend these days is the uplift shuttle taking us as high as the roads go. We generally not have people riding E-bikes.
Be self sufficient. Bring spares, mini tool and spare clothes. We’re heading out deep into the mountains for this one.
The choice for open of full face is yours, but we do require you to wear gloves and kneepads. Elbow pads are recommended. Make sure you’re lycra is hidden from the view. No one wants to see that.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
To spice things up, we have 5 timed ‘special stages’ planned spread out over the weekend. Proper Ghetto Style with low tech time measurement, this is definitely a ‘just for fun’ type thing. Each day we post the overal ranking, just to keep it interesting.
If riding against the clock really isn’t your thing, no worries! There is no pressure and you can choose to chill and ride the ‘specials’ in your own pace.
To make this trip ultra awesome, we arranged a pro photographer / videographer to document the trip. You can be sure to come home with some banger shots after this trip!
This trip is not for beginners! Expect technical single tracks, rocks, roots and some hike a bike sections. When in doubt if you have the skills set to enjoy this trip, get in touch with us!
