How do I contact you guys?
You can use either the contact form, or send an email to jarno@ridewiththelocals.com
Is transport included?
To and from the destination, transport is up to you. We can always offer help to organize transfers from airports or train stations, and you will receive a details map and address details with the confirmation.
At the location itself, transport is included. The guides will make sure you get to the start of the trail and back to the accommodation.
Is breakfast / lunch / dinner included?
This depends on you and the trip destination. We usually provide accommodation with breakfast. On some locations is much nicer to head into town, but at some places, the nearest town is 8km away. We will discuss this when making the itinerary.
Can I rent a bike / biking equipment?
You should have your own biking equipment, but a rental bike is usually no problem to arrange. For all destinations we have contact with a rental shop who can supply you with a quality bike for the trip.
What about insurance?
We strongly recommend you organize your own travel insurance. Also make sure to check if mountain biking is covered in the country where you are going. Upon arrival, the guide will need to have your insurance details just in case. No proper insurance? No riding.
Can I cancel or change dates/size of the group?
Yes, you can. Changes can be made if possible with both your guide and accommodation, and charges may apply.
When going with less people, the trip price might increase, just as the price might decrease when the group gets bigger. In order to make sure everyone has a good time, we keep the groups to 12 people max.
Changes can be made up to 4 weeks of the starting date of the trip, after that date, everything is fixed.
For more info on cancelling by you or by us, please check our Terms and conditions page.
Can I take non bikers on the trip?
Sure, to most destinations there is plenty of fun things to do next to biking. Your guide can provide a list of cool things to do, and we will offer a reduced price for non riders.
Do I have to ride with a guide for the entire trip?
No you don’t. If you choose to ride with a guide for a few days, and then want to explore yourself or do something else then biking just let us know.
It’s your holiday!
How big can the group be?
We need at least three people. For the best riding experience we take a maximum of 12 riders per trip.
What language does the guide speak?
All of our guides speak excellent English. Most of the guides speak several foreign languages like German or French. We can also arrange a ‘Ride with the Locals’ chaperone for your group who speaks your native language.
I still have some questions!
